1 Jul - Δημοψήφισμα – Referendum - Του Βαγγέλη Παυλίδη

Ετούτο εδώ είναι το τρίτο δημοψήφισμα στο οποίο καλούμαι να ψηφίσω: ένα της χούντας το 1973, όπου το ΝΑΙ -με την σχετική καταιγιστική προπαγάνδα-  σήμαινε αφ’ ενός μεν την κατάργηση της μοναρχίας αλλά και ταυτόχρονα την υπερψήφιση της χούντας.  Το άλλο, το μεταχουντικό του 1974 που μας απάλλαξε οριστικά από την μοναρχία.

Ως συνήθως, όποτε για κάποιον λόγο δεν έχω κάποια ιδέα ή τον χρόνο να γράψω κάτι, κατέφυγα στα άδυτα του αρχείου μου.  Να λοιπόν σκίτσο εποχής, πρωτοσέλιδο στο ΒΗΜΑ στις 26.07.73, παραμονή του δημοψηφίσματος της χούντας.

Τυχόν ομοιότητες με το παρόν είναι συμπτωματικές.

This is the third referendum I am called to vote:  the first one in 1974 was held by the military junta wherwe YES -with the help of a torrential propaganda by the regime- meant the abolition of the monarchy and at the same time a vote of approval for the dictators.  The second referendum, after the fall of the junta in 1974, got rid of the monarchy once and for all.

Every time I run out of time or ideas I resorted, as usual, to the depths of my archives.  So, here is a cartoon of mine published on the eve of the junta referendum, on July 26 1973.

Any similarities to the present are purely coincidental.
