ΜΟΝΟΤΟΝΙΑ
Την μια μονότονην ημέραν άλλη
μονότονη, απαράλλακτη ακολουθεί. Θα γίνουν
τα ίδια πράγματα, θα ξαναγίνουν πάλι —
η όμοιες στιγμές μας βρίσκουνε και μας αφίνουν.
Μήνας περνά και φέρνει άλλον μήνα.
Aυτά που έρχονται κανείς εύκολα τα εικάζει·
είναι τα χθεσινά τα βαρετά εκείνα.
Και καταντά το αύριο πια σαν αύριο να μη μοιάζει.

Μια φίλη εδώ στην Λαχανιά μου παρατήρησε προχθές πως τελευταία δεν πολυσχολιάζω τα πολιτικά γενόμενα. Σωστά, το έχω όμως ξαναπεί και φοβάμαι μήπως γίνω και πιο βαρετός απ’ ό,τι είμαι ήδη:
Έχουμε μια αξιωματική αντιπολίτευση χωρίς προτάσεις, που κυριολεκτικά ό,τι και να πεί ή να κάνει η κυβέρνηση (ακόμα κι ό,τι δεν έχει πει ή έχει κάνει) το βρίσκει στραβό, υποσχόμενη πως θα τα φτιάξει όλα αν και εφόσον γίνει χαλίφης στην θέση του χαλίφη. Έχουμε μια ελάσσονα αντιπολίτευση που διέρχεται σοβαρή κρίση ταυτότητας, που τα’χει χαμένα σ΄έναν ιδεολογικό και οργανωτικό λαβύρινθο κι όπου οι “στρατηγοί” είναι περισσότεροι απο τους “στρατιώτες” (εξαιρείται το ΚΚΕ που εδώ και 100 χρόνια δεν πήγε ούτε ρούπι δεξιά ή αριστερά). Τέλος, έχουμε μια κυβέρνηση που πελαγωμένη κι αυτή προσπαθεί να μπαλώσει τα αμπάλωτα που κληρονόμησε, αλλά και αυτά που η ίδια έχει δημιουργήσει.
Τι να σχολιάσω λοιπόν; Παραπέμπω στον Καβάφη και για να αποφύγω “τα χθεσινά τα βαρετά εκείνα”, σκέφτηκα να το ρίξω λίγο στην “τέχνη” – όσο είναι τέχνη αυτα που κάνω… σκιτσάκια, εικόνες, λίμερικ, σαχλαμαρίτσες.

A friend in Lachania remarked the other night that lately I do not so much comment on the Greek political scene.
True enough, but I’ve said it before and I will say it again, with the risk of getting even more boring than I already am: What we have is a major opposition party with nothing constructive to propose, that will attack and disagree with literally everything the government says or does (even with whatever the government has not yet said or done) and which promises to remedy everything if and when it comes to power. And then, there are the smaller parties of the center in a serious identity crisis, lost in an ideological and organizational labyrinth and where the “generals” outnumber the soldiers. And last but not least, there is a government under constant pressure by its European lenders, perplexed, trying to patch up the rags it inherited as well as those it has created by itself.
So, what’s new and what is there for me to say? I will refer you to Cavafy and to avoid “the sorrow of yesterday” that is “but a weariness”, I thought I should concentrate a bit on “art” -to the extend that art it is what I do… sketches, drawings, limericks and such nonsense.
